The Krouse family, owner of Wheels of Williamsport, has been in the motorcycle business since 1974. That is almost 38 years in the bike business. We are proud of our years in the business and still subscribe to the same basis business philosophy: Treat our customers the same way we'd like to be treated when we go shopping. That translates into good deals, good service and treating our customers with courtesy and friendship.
Our years in the bike business began at our first dealership, Suzuki City, which was located in Mill Hall, Pa. We later changed the name to Krouse Sport City when we added the Kawasaki line to our dealership. A number of years later we sold our Clinton County dealership, moved to Lycoming County and created Wheels of Williamsport. Many of our old Clinton County based customers have followed us to our new location and have remained loyal customers throughout the years along with the thousands of new friends we have made in Lycoming and surrounding counties.
In 2006 we moved into a brand new custom designed 26,000 sq. ft. facility located between Montoursville and the Lycoming Mall. It is our pleasure to now offer our customers what we hope will be a thoroughly enjoyable shopping experience when they visit us. Our showroom, which is one of the largest in central Pennsylvania, houses Yamaha motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, Rhinos & Waverunners; Kawasaki motorcycles, ATVs, Mules & Teryxs; Suzuki motorcycles, scooters & ATVs; Kymco ATVs, scooters & UTVs Bennche side x sides, and Hammerhead Go-Karts. When you walk into our showroom, it will seem like you're walking into a mall full of fun products. You will enjoy browsing through our huge showroom and your choice of product is unparralled to any place in Central Pennsylvania.
Besides our top notch line of products, the other equally important feature of our store is our staff. The owner and general manager is Steve Krouse. Steve has been involved in the Krouse family dealership going way back to grade school. He would travel to the store with his Dad to do anything from mopping floors to polishing bikes. He has been around bikes his entire life, including a career of motocross racing and trials riding. After Steve graduated from Lock Haven University, he bought into the family business and has gradually taken over both ownership and management of the business. He is proud of the unequalled staff he has surrounded himself with. The showroom is handled by two of the best guys you'll ever deal with in Kevin McGowan and Andy Clayton. Both Kev and Andy have a reputation for straight talk and are two of the most knowledgeable motorcycle people you'll ever meet. They handle both sales of machines along with handling all of their customers parts and accessory needs.
Let
us introduce our staff:
Our Sales Staff
Steve Krouse - General Manager
Steve's
background in the motorcyle business goes way back to his pre-school
days when he would travel with his dad each morning to the family's
original Suzuki City dealership.
Steve's experience began by cleaning and polishing bikes, and doing
all-around chores at the family business. He took an active part
in the Mill Hall dealership even prior to entering grade school.
At the age of 6, he began his motocross racing career, where he
was a regular at tracks across Pennsylvania. His involvement in
the dealership itself continued and developed through grade school
and into high school where he became an important part in the overall
business. During his senior year in high school, Steve became a
PIAA AAA State Wrestling Champion which paved his way for a wrestling
scholarship at Clarion University, where he wrestled for 3 years.
During his final senior season, he returned to Lock Haven University
where he had the distinction of becoming a Division I All American
Wrestler. Upon graduation from LHU, he immediately returned to the
family business where he has been ever since. Several years ago,
Steve bought into the family business, becoming a 1/3 owner and
general manager. In 1999 and 2000 Steve won two District 6 200cc
and under Expert class, harescramble championships competing on
stock YZ125s. In 2004 he married his wife, Leslie, who is now also
active in the business, and they have two little girls, Lainie and Lyndal. Steve currently rides a Sherco Trials Bike
and is an expert level trials rider competing at local District
6 events and select national events across the country.
Andy
Clayton - Showroom Manager
Andy
came to work for Wheels of Williamsport in 2000. He was a former
customer, having been an avid ATV and motorcyle rider. He began his
duties in the parts department; however, his skills and talent quickly
manifested themselves at the dealership, and Andy quickly moved
into both sales and parts. He has developed into one of the top
motorcyle salesmen in central Pennsylvania because of his fantastic
people skills. Customers know Andy, customers like Andy, and customers
know they can count on Andy's honesty. His duties at the new Wheels
of Williamsport have continued to increase in his new postion of
showroom manager. He is still involved in the parts department and,
of course, sales; however, a big part of his new responsibilities
involve data processing, credit applications, and computer systems.
Andy is married to the former Tracy Bender, and they have two sons,
Owen and Noah. Owen is in contention for the Guiness Book World Record for
the youngest motorcyclist on record.
Kevin
McGowan - Parts Manager
Kevin came to work at Wheels of Williamsport in 2006. Kevin has had extensive experience in the motorcycle business, having
worked at a Yamaha dealership in Texas before moving back to his
original hometown, Williamsport.
He is an avid motorcycle rider and collector, where he can be seen
riding to work on such notable rides as an R-6 one day and an old
Kawasaki 2 stroke H-2 the next day. Kevin manages the parts and
accessories department at the store; however, he has also shown
his expertise in the sales department as well. With his vast knowledge
of accessories that fit, perform, and work properly, Kevin is an
excellent guy to help you accessorize your new or existing ride.
Our Service Staff
Kevin Pisel - Service Manager
Steve Krouse, owner and general manager at Wheels of Williamsport, recently announced the appointment of Kevin Pisel as Service Manager at the dealership. Kevin comes to his new position with a wealth of experience and knowledge having worked in a number of different dealerships in Arizona. He has extensive experience with Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki products and specializes in Yamaha, where he is "Five Star Certified".

Kevin and his wife, Josie, lived in Arizona for the past 15 years. He is quite excited about the opportunity to return to his home state of Pennsylvania. Kevin graduated from Pequea Valley High School in Kinzer, Pa. He is also a graduate of Willow Street Vo-Tech in Willow Street, Pa. Kevin served in the U.S. Navy from 1987-1994 where he was an aviation hydraulics mechanic.
Some comments from our new Service Manager: "My wife and I have been looking to return to my home state of Pennsylvania for the last year. I inquired about a number of positions all across the state and had several offers; however, as soon as I looked at the Wheels of Williamsport website and talked to Steve Krouse, the owner, I knew that this was the job I really wanted. Their facility is incredible, and they have an excellent staff in place that I'm looking forward to working with. A great facility, great products including our recently added Kymco & Bennche products, a great staff and a great owner, what more could I ask for? So I'm committed to giving our customers the very best from our service department."
John Eisenhart - Service Technician
John Eisenhart comes to Montoursville from the community of Selinsgrove where he graduated from Selinsgrove High School in 2005. John made quite a name for himself having been a four year letter winner and star defensive end for the Selinsgrove Seals football team. His excellent reputation does not end with his football career. He joins our staff with a list of strong recommendations from the professors at Motorcycle Mechanics Institute along with several former employers. When employers tell you quote "I'd hire him back tomorrow if I could", it tells one quite a bit about the character of a person. We at Wheels of Williamsport feel fortunate to have landed a quality guy like John Eisenhart.
John's tenure at MMI includes a concentration in the Yamaha Pro Course along with the Suzuki Fast Course. He also is trained in Dyno Jet technology and testing.
John lives in Newberry and is an avid motorcycle and ATV rider. He also enjoys fishing, camping and remote controlled cars and planes.
Kyle Lose - Assembly Technician
Kyle Lose joined the Wheels of Williamsport team in 2006 as our assembly technician. He was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School where he specialized in machine shop, welding and automotive repair. He obtained ASE certification in these areas.
Kyle has multiple responsibilities. He handles the assembly and fine tuning of all new motorcycles and ATVs. In addition, he serves as the dealership's chief inspection mechanic where his main job is certifying by Pennsylvania State Inspection Sticker that our customer bikes are safe for highway use. Kyle is also responsible for the reconditioning of all used units before they are displayed for sale in our showroom.
Kyle's hobbies include hunting and fishing. He is an avid street bike rider as shown by his main ride, a Suzuki TL1000. Kyle also races motocross and hare scrambles.
